We urge the Government to take decisive action to support and save many pubs and small breweries struggling due to the cost-of-living crisis.

Already a significant number of pub businesses have closed and the small brewing sector has seen over 85 independent breweries close.

The Government says that it “cannot afford” any more support to help businesses through this crisis. Surely the UK cannot afford for the Government to NOT provide support, to prevent the loss of tens of thousands of small businesses with the huge loss in employment, tax and the cost of benefits.

Current Government support is simply inadequate and the survival of many pub businesses and small brewers now depends upon decisive and properly targeted Government action focused on the small businesses that urgently need it, rather than huge multinational chains that do not…
