Please act to save pubs in the mini-budget

We are writing on behalf of the Campaign for Pubs urging you to introduce a meaningful package of support for the nation’s pubs, to ensure they can survive the coming winter with the cost-of-living crisis, soaring inflation and (although now capped for 6 months) still high energy bills.

We previously wrote to Liz Truss explaining the situation pubs and publicans are in. The current threat to the Great British pub is unprecedented, even compared to the Covid pandemic which, thanks to Government support, most pubs managed to survive, albeit many with considerable levels of debt…
