URGENT – the historic Cross Pipes, Otley

We are writing to urge you to ensure that the historic Cross Pipes pub in Otley is sold as a pub and therefore continues to serve the local community and economy there, as it has since 1762.

We have been contacted by community group Otley Pub Club who have communicated the situation to us and they have our full support in seeking to ensure the future of this unique pub and we hope that as current owners (by default) that you will do the right thing and sell the Cross Pipes as a pub.

With a cash offer as a pub at the asking price, it would be morally wrong for the pub to be sold for any other purpose. It is clear from Otley Pub Club’s letter that the pub is wanted by the local community and is important to the local economy…
