PRESS RELEASE
Campaign for Pubs
Adrian Don appointed as North East representative for the Campaign for Pubs
Adrian, as North East representative will represent the campaign in the region and liaise with Campaign for Pubs members and publicans, to help support and protect pubs in the region.
Adrian, who is a trainee brewer as well as a talented professional freelance photographer, has a lifelong passion for pubs. His first ever job was working behind the bar at the famous Bridge Hotel, in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, which kickstarted the passion and led on to assistant, relief and manager roles in Tyneside pubs before moving into sales with Cameron’s Brewery, then as Area Sales Manager in the North East for Jennings as they started a large expansion into the North East. Adrian has maintained close connections in the North East with both pubs and breweries and is raring to get involved building relationships in his new role with the Campaign for Pubs, that was launched in June 2020. Adrian is also a current personal licence holder which has allowed him to do some short spells of relief management and now studying for the Institute of Brewing and Distilling General Certificate in Brewing qualification. In his spare time, Adrian is also a volunteer at Tynemouth RNLI lifeboat station.
Adrian Don, North East England Representative for the Campaign for Puns said:
“I spent a long time in the licensed trade and developed a deep love and passion for all things related to pubs and brewing. I’ve kept close to the trade and by joining the Campaign for Pubs team, I’m looking forward to helping support and stand up for independent pub operators, especially as they come out of what has been the most difficult time ever for them and our region’s pubs”.
Greg Mulholland, Campaign Director of the Campaign for Pubs said:
“We’re delighted to welcome Adrian to the Campaign for Pubs team, as our regional representative for the North East of England. Adrian has a clear passion for pubs and for brewing and shares our vision for a better, more sustainable future for pubs and small brewers alike. I look forward to working with him to support the many great pubs in the North East and post lockdown, I look forward to visiting some of them and some of our members there together”.
